About

Biography

Caroline Annandale is an American artist and Army war veteran, originally from Los Angeles, California. While deployed as a soldier to Kirkuk, Iraq, in 2007, Caroline discovered her passion and talent for drawing and painting as a means to digest and expell the horors of the war which surrounded her. This form of experiencing, internalizing and then eventually realeasing of information through the act of art making, has since become apart of her daily routine.

Currently, living in her own art atelier in the countryside of Germany, Caroline continues to use drawing and painting as a way to document the world and cultural climate around her while relieving feelings of homesickness and isolation that come with living in a foreign land.  Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Caroline has begun to work on an all new, Corona themed, series of oil paintings. During these uncertain times and the restrictions that have been placed on traveling between the United States and Europe, Caroline finds solice in painting and creating, staying patient till the day she is able to visit home again.
